Some good news for me today
about my romantic/suspense novel PLAYING DEAD.

Rebecca Forster is a USA Today best selling author with more than 25 books under her belt. She teaches at UCLA Writers Program and works with The Young Writers Conference, a program that helps motivate middle school children to explore the power of words. She is particularly drawn to kids and writing because both of her sons have always had a passion for it. Eric is a playwright and Alex is in film. She is married to a Superior Court judge.

She LOVED my book Playing Dead.  woo-hoo.

Isn't it great to get positive feedback on something you've written. Gives you a real buzz to know all the effort you put in wasn't wasted. I read Rebecca's interview and she sounds lovely... and Tucker, her grand-dog, is gorgeous.

I'm happy to hear this, Jody. I know it gives you a good feeling -- much deserved I'm sure.

Thank you, ladies. It's always nice to hear kind words. The Rite Aid doesn't have this week's WW yet...hmmm. I might have to post the mystery tomorrow.

Holy Smokes, Jody!!! Rebecca Forster, who has been writing forever, not only mentioned you and made a comment about your book, she threw you in with the likes of Stephen King, John Grisham and MY FAVORITE Daphne Du Maurier. Very rich company, lady. You must be going around hugging yourself. What a thrill!

P.S. The exclamation point was invented for a reason.

" The exclamation point was invented for a reason."

And you used it well. :)

@ Mary Jo. I sent Rebecca Forster your comment. She's a sweetheart. Here's her reply:

"That is soooo cute! I love whoever wrote that. I guess it is good company. Can't wait 'till someone writes and says 'Holy Smokes, Rebecca, Jody Lebel mentioned you." WIll let youknow when I have the opportunity again.

Have a lovely weekend."
